Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Read all of our FAQs.

The Period Pain Clinic is on a mission to help women and AFAB individuals live less of their lives in pain. Alongside personalised, doctor-approved plans that maximise pain relief and minimise side effects, you can learn more about underlying gynae health issues—like endometriosis and PCOS—and get on the path to diagnosis quicker.

The clinic provides direct access to vetted pain specialists who can recommend and prescribe a range of pharmaceutical and holistic solutions to period pain. Our approach allows you to customise your treatment plan in a way that works for your body—reducing the intensity and duration of menstrual cramps for the long run.

You can get general insights from your medical questionnaire for free, or pay a fee to access personalised pain plans and specialist support. Whatever your needs, we’ve got a package to suit you:

1. Standard package (£24.99): You’ll get an overview of the 6 conditions that might be causing your period pain (including endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids), as well as a list of personalised, science-backed solutions to help you manage your pain. The price also covers a pharmacist review and prescription fee, which you can use towards prescription cannabidiol (CBD) tampons and personalised contraception.

2. Advanced package (£54.99): This package includes everything featured in the Standard package, as well as a 30-minute consultation with a sexual health nurse who’s been trained in chronic pelvic pain conditions including endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids. The 1:1 consultation can help you dig deeper into your condition, fast-track your journey towards diagnosis, and access the right hormonal treatments.

3. Premium package (£199.99): Includes everything featured in the Standard package, as well as a 30-minute consultation with a Pelvic Pain Specialist who can provide detailed insights and a proper diagnosis of your condition. You can also use the time to discuss treatment options, pain management strategies, hormonal management and surgical intervention options and fertility concerns.

The Period Pain Clinic is designed to give people with periods the answers they deserve, faster than mainstream healthcare.

Your personalised report will help you work out if your symptoms match those of conditions like endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), adenomyosis, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and fibroids—conditions that can take up to 10 years to diagnose. From there, you can either download your report to discuss with your doctor, or connect with vetted physicians through our platform and fast-track your journey towards diagnosis.

Through the Daye Period Pain Clinic, you can connect with sexual health nurses, period and pelvic pain specialists, fertility specialists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and lifestyle coaches.

Our highly-qualified nurses can help you make sense of your personalised Period Pain Report, and work out if your symptoms might be linked to an underlying health condition. They can also help you explore pain relief and contraception options, and provide advice on fertility, sexual and reproductive health.

Our trusted period and pelvic pain specialists can help you identify the root cause of your pain, and prescribe treatments to ease your symptoms. They may need additional tests (like ultrasound, blood tests, or others) to investigate your pain.

Our fertility specialists can provide you with a detailed understanding of your fertility and pregnancy history, and offer personalised medical support to improve your chances of conceiving.

With the help of our nutritionists and lifestyle coaches, you can learn how your exercise, stress, and sleep habits might be impacting your pain. Our experts can also provide you with practical, personalised advice on changes you could make to manage your symptoms more effectively, and improve your quality of life.

Off the back of your medical questionnaire, you’ll receive a personalised routine that includes traditional and holistic options for pain relief, resources for symptom management and lifestyle interventions to naturally reduce inflammation.

Our treatments range from the likes of hormonal contraception, to more innovative methods like TENS machines and prescription CBD tampons. You’ll also be given recommendations for holistic treatments like heat therapy, massage and acupuncture, diet, stretching and exercise.

All treatment options are backed by scientific research, and include links to clinical studies you can look over yourself.

The Daye Period Pain Clinic has been developed with the help of NHS GPs, pelvic pain specialists, and leading experts in gynaecology. Our questionnaire and symptom assessment algorithm are based on the guidelines outlined by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (ACOG), National Institute for Care Excellence (NICE), and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Daye tampons are manufactured in accordance with medical device standards, including ISO13485 and GMP. In order for a diagnosis to be confirmed, test results from the Diagnostic Tampon should be considered by a licensed healthcare provider alongside a patient's symptoms and medical history. Like every other diagnostic test, lab results are not sufficient for a diagnosis. Daye offers customers the option to connect with independent CQC-regulated healthcare providers virtually and in-person for a confirmed diagnosis. All prescriptions and treatments provided through the Daye platform are issued by third-party, independent pharmacists, who are also regulated under CQC and GPhC.
