Meet your vaginal flora

Like your gut, your vagina is home to billions of bacteria (some good, some bad). These make up your vaginal microbiome. When it doesn’t contain enough good bacteria, you’re at greater risk of infections like STIs, yeast infection and BV.

ProViotics help you create a microbiome environment that promotes the growth of good bacteria, while also making it hard for harmful bacteria to survive.

Is your vaginal microbiome surviving, or thriving?

Having a high level of good bacteria (Lactobacilli) means your vaginal microbiome is thriving.

Why should you care? Because it’s not just yeast infection and BV it wards off. A healthy vaginal microbiome has been shown to lessen the risk of other vaginal health problems too.

ProViotics contain 2.5 billion live good bacteria that can help enhance your gut and vaginal microbiome.

A healthy vaginal microbiome is associated with:

a pink uterus with a magnifying glass showing the ovary
an illustration of the relationship between gynaecological cancers and the vaginal microbiome
an ultrasound of the uterus showing a pink heart inside signifying a successful fertility outcome

Enhance your gut and vaginal microbiome alike

Lab tests have confirmed that ProViotics survive in the acidic environments of both the gut and the vagina. This means they reach you alive, unlike other brands of probiotics. You can take them to help with that pesky PMS bloat and your digestion. Studies have shown that making them a part of your daily self-care routine can lead to enhanced energy levels too — a win-win for the body and the mind.

Certain good bacteria can contribute to the overall health of the vaginal microbiome. A balanced vaginal microbiome is defined as having a ratio of good to bad bacteria of 80 to 20 or better. Daye's ProViotic was developed specifically to increase the ratio of good bacteria in the vaginal canal, strengthening the overall health of the vaginal microbiome.

Frequently asked questions

Daye ProViotics are proven to reach your gut alive, so they can be taken once daily as a supplement, on an empty stomach or with food. They’re also good to take after a course of antibiotics, to replenish the good bacteria in your vaginal and gut microbiome, which can minimize the risk of yeast infection or microbiome dysbiosis. For best results, you need the lactobacilli to have time to repopulate your microbiome. That’s why we recommend taking them for a minimum of 90 consecutive days.

Lactobacillus Plantarum GLP3 (grown in organic carrot juice), and nothing else!

Store in a cool dry place. ProViotics are freeze-dried, so you don’t have to refrigerate them.

Our ProViotics tin is made of endlessly recyclable aluminium, and we ship them to you in a recycled cardboard box. The refill pouch is fully compostable (even though it may look like plastic!) and is safe for both home and industrial composting.

We recommend taking one tablet per day for at least 90 consecutive days. We recommend taking them orally in the morning, with or without food.

With a monthly subscription, you get the most flexibility. You can cancel or pause anytime. Monthly subscriptions also come with 6% off the price of a one-off box.

Multi-month subscriptions allow us to provide the highest possible discount on your ProViotics order. We currently have 2 options — a 3-month subscription, and a 12-month subscription. You can't cancel your order if you commit to a longer subscription, but you do benefit from a larger discount. With the multi-month subscriptions, you also save carbon emissions as we ship your boxes up-front in 3-month installments. For best results, we recommend you commit to at least 3 months of using ProViotics continuously. Lactobacilli can take a while to repopulate your gut and vaginal microbiome. Your box will be shipped with a tracked delivery service ensuring you know exactly when it will arrive.

Yes, Daye's ProViotics safety profile has been recognised by the FDA and they are absolutely fine to take when pregnant or trying to conceive, and encouraged to take during breastfeeding to prevent mastitis.

Daye ProViotics contain bacteria grown in organic carrot juice, whereas most probiotic products are grown in milk cultures. They’re certified organic, and free from allergens like soy, dairy, nuts and gluten.
The bacteria we use is also freeze-dried, which means it retains its properties for longer, and you don’t have to store it in the fridge.
Each tablet contains 5 billion live cells of Lactobacillus plantarum GLP3. Most probiotic supplements contain no more than 3 billion. While there are some probiotics on the market that claim to contain 50 billion cultures, what's key about Daye ProViotics is that all of our cultures are live. This makes them much better at caring for your vaginal health.

Whilst ProViotics are not a medication (so we can’t say that they “cure” yeast infection), we do know that our clinical trials show they are 99.8% effective against Candida, the fungus that causes yeast infections. ProViotics contain Lactobacilli, which help keep your vaginal microbiome acidic by producing lactic acid, in turn preventing vaginal infections.
Our ProViotics work to replenish and maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome, which can help fight off yeast infections.

Great question. The answer is both!
We already know how important the gut is for overall health, but researchers are starting to unveil how the gut plays a role in vaginal health as well.
