What they are
Daye offers two tampon variants:
- Nude Tampon: GOTS-certified, organic cotton tampon designed for everyday menstrual use.
- CBD Tampon: Identical in build, but coated with pharmaceutical-grade cannabidiol (CBD)derived from THC-free hemp extract.
Both tampon variants are manufactured under ISO 13485 and GMP — the same frameworks used to produce medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Unlike conventional tampons, Daye Tampons are treated as medical products, meaning every component, process, and test is held to higher safety and biocompatibility requirements.
The Daye CBD Tampon is FDA 510(k)-cleared (K223883) for menstrual use and produced in compliance with EU MDR requirements. Its safety profile has been verified through pre-clinical and clinical studies assessing irritation, microbiome impact, and toxin production, with results reviewed by independent clinicians and Daye’s Scientific Advisory Board.

How CBD tampons work
The vaginal and uterine tissues are rich in endocannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) — components of the body’s innate endocannabinoid system, which plays a key role in modulating local pain perception, inflammation, and immune function.
The CBD coating on Daye Tampons interacts locally with these receptors within the vaginal canal. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) studies indicate that CBD applied intravaginally remains localised, with no detectable systemic absorption, ensuring it is non-psychoactive and confined to the area of use.
